The RTC external mentorship program aims to provide a forum for learners and people of all backgrounds from all over the world to make meaningful connections. We believe that exposure to other cultures and perspectives broadens the mind and enriches personal experiences. For many of our scholars, coming to school in Gauteng is a taste of the world. We want to extend that taste beyond Pretoria or Gauteng, to include the whole world, whether that means a variety of professions or exposure to individuals and families from all over the world.
We need your support!
Are you interested in spending time getting to know our learners?
We have opportunities for getting to know RTC scholars in casual group settings or more regular one-on-one environments. This might include spending some time at school during the afternoon or speaking at a braai about your background or taking a learner out for coffee once a month depending on your availability.
Do you have a passion or experience in a specific profession you might share with a small group of our learners in a workshop context?
This could include poetry, art, cooking, geology and more! Our learners are passionately curious and would be thrilled to learn something about your field or background.
For more information and to get involved, please contact Sabrina Garcia at firstname.lastname@example.org or Meredith Dyer at email@example.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
