In rural South Africa, few have walked the path through high school and tertiary study into work. Many children set out on the journey only to lose their way, while their communities wait in hope that the next generation will lift them all out of poverty.
Raise the Children International (RTC) steps into the gap. We find orphans with exceptional potential and walk the path with them. When the way is blocked, we find a route forward together. In time, they return home as changemakers, walking ahead for others.
Since 2012, Raise the Children has assisted 212 rural orphans to access quality education. We are rapidly growing and are supporting 124 Scholars in 2026.
